81 mm German Mortar Replica
Full-scale WWII ordnance replica – handcrafted in New Zealand by Imperial Shell Works.
This is a full-scale replica of the German 81 mm Granatwerfer 34 mortar round, one of the most recognisable indirect-fire weapons of World War II. Used throughout the conflict by German infantry, the GrW 34 was known for its accuracy, reliability, and devastating impact — a defining piece of battlefield artillery.
Our reproduction captures that heritage in striking detail. Each round is designed, 3D printed, and hand-finished in New Zealand, then mounted on a solid Totara timber plinth, selected for its rich grain and enduring strength. The base features engraved detailing that complements the ordnance’s clean industrial lines — creating a display that feels both historical and modern.
The plinth measures approximately 360 mm long × 150 mm wide, and the round itself matches true 1:1 scale, providing a realistic presence without the danger of original materials. Every piece carries the Imperial Shell Works insignia as a mark of authenticity.
This is more than a model — it’s a statement piece for collectors, educators, and enthusiasts of military history. Perfect for display in offices, studies, or private collections.
This is just the beginning — more ordnance and armour pieces are on the way as part of our expanding line of handcrafted WWII reproductions.
