Museum-Style Replicas, Made in NZ

At Imperial Shell Works, we bring history to life.

Each piece is a faithful 3D-printed replica of iconic WWII ordnance.

From grenades and mortars to Tiger I tank tracks and artillery shells.

Every replica is mounted on handcrafted timber plinths, waxed and engraved with our mark.

Each accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

During the Second World War, Mason & Porter (M&P) of Mt Wellington, Auckland played an important role in New Zealand's wartime manufacturing effort. Among their contributions was the production of 2-inch mortar shells for military service. This collector's replica pays tribute to that engineering heritage and the skilled men and women who supported New Zealand's war effort.

81mm Granatwerfer 34

The German Granatwerfer 81 was the standard infantry mortar of the Wehrmacht during WWII. Compact, reliable, and highly effective, it provided front-line troops with mobile firepower capable of lobbing explosive shells deep into enemy positions. Its simple design made it easy to operate and deadly in the field — earning it a fearsome reputation among Allied soldiers.

Our full-scale Granatwerfer 81 replica is 3D printed with attention to authentic detail, mounted on a handcrafted timber plinth, and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Built for display only, it offers collectors and enthusiasts a striking reminder of battlefield engineering.

Imperial Shell Works produces museum-quality display replicas from across military history. Our collection spans multiple nations and eras, celebrating engineering, craftsmanship and historical significance.
